Knowledge Dome: Damascus’ First Mobile Interactive Cinema

Looking for a new family activity in Damascus? Knowledge Dome offers a different kind of cinema experience, taking you on a journey through space, planets, and science with immersive 360-degree shows. Recently launched in Damascus, it is the first interactive mobile cinema of its kind in Syria, offering visitors an experience unlike that of a regular movie theater.

What is Knowledge Dome?

Knowledge Dome is a mobile cinema dome that moves between parks, schools, malls, and events. Inside the dome, you can watch 360-degree films that surround you from every direction, making you feel like you are inside the scene. The project was created by Syrian youth returning from abroad, led by founder Saeed Al Khouli, who brought the idea to Syria after seeing similar experiences overseas.

A Cinema Experience Like No Other

Unlike a normal cinema, Knowledge Dome does not use a regular screen. The whole inside of the dome becomes the screen. With 360-degree visuals and surround sound, you can feel like you are travelling through space, exploring planets, and discovering new worlds.

Explore the Sky with a Telescope

The experience goes beyond the shows. Visitors can also use a telescope to observe the sky and learn more about stars and planets. It is a fun way to combine entertainment with real-life exploration

Learning Through Fun

Knowledge Dome is designed to make science and space easier and more exciting for children. Through colourful visuals and interactive shows, kids can learn about astronomy while enjoying the experience.

Not Just for Kids

While many shows are currently focused on children, the team is also preparing new shows for adults, including astronomy experiences and documentaries.

Where Can You Find It?

The first shows started in Damascus, and the dome will travel to other Syrian cities soon. You can find it at parks, schools, malls, and special events. It can also be booked for private events.
