This summer, Damascus is getting ready for World Cup vibes like never before. Forget watching matches at home or sitting in a regular café. For the first time in Syria, fans will experience a huge World Cup fan zone and football festival that brings the energy of the stadium straight to the city.
From June 11 until July 19, the Old Damascus Fairgrounds will turn into the main destination for football fans. Giant screens, cheering crowds, live match excitement, games, entertainment, family activities, food spots, and daily surprises will all come together in one massive event: Damascus World Cup Festival 2026.
Imagine watching teams like Argentina, Brazil, France, or Portugal surrounded by hundreds of fans cheering together after every goal. The festival turns football matches into a full live experience that feels close to real stadium energy, but with a fun Damascus vibe.
The festival isn’t only for football fans. There will also be games, entertainment activities, and fun areas for both kids and adults, making it a perfect outing for families and groups of friends.
Of course, no football festival is complete without food. Visitors will find restaurants, cafés, snacks, cold drinks, and local food brands all around the venue, so you can enjoy the whole night in one place.
The festival is also giving local brands and small businesses a chance to showcase their products to huge crowds during the tournament, especially food and beverage projects.
